The protocol
The parts of Vordium and what each one guarantees — consensus, the order book core, the bridge, the EVM, agents and signing.
Vordium is one chain whose validators do two jobs. They agree on an order of operations — that is VordiumBFT — and every validator applies those operations to the same state with the same rules — that is VordCore, the order book, margin and risk engine. Because matching, liquidation and funding are part of the chain itself, no operator outside the validator set decides who trades with whom or when a position is closed.
| Part | What it does | Read |
|---|---|---|
| VordiumBFT | Orders operations into batches of heights; a block is final once the validators certify it | Consensus |
| VordCore | The order book, matching, isolated margin, liquidation, funding and the oracle | VordCore |
| Bridge | USDC in and out through one vault on Arbitrum One | Bridge |
| EVM | Ethereum-compatible contracts with gas in VORD | EVM |
| CoreWriter | Lets a contract trade and move funds on VordCore Testnet only | CoreWriter |
| Agents | Keys that trade for an account within limits the chain enforces | Agents |
| Signing | EIP-712 domains bound to the genesis | Signing |
What is switched on
The network publishes which of its rules are in force, and these pages describe only those. Whether trading, deposits, the EVM and agent rules are on right now is read live from the network:
