Testnet
The testnet's chain id, genesis and endpoints, what runs there that the main network does not, and how to get test tokens.
Every token on the testnet is a test token with no value, and the network may be reset. A reset keeps the chain id and changes the genesis — so identify the testnet by its genesis, and read it from the network each time.

On the testnet the JSON-RPC address takes JSON-RPC only; REST is served by the read service.
