Upgrades
How a new node release is published, verified and applied.
Every release is published on its network's channel with a signed index (releases.json) and signed checksums. Each
release names the one it can roll back to.
- Testnet: the visor checks each new release against the pinned key and applies it by itself.
- Mainnet: download the release, verify it exactly as in Run a node, point the node at it and restart through the visor.
A release that changes the chain's rules names the height from which they apply, so every validator switches at the
same height. The rules in force are published in GET /truth/v1 (rules).
